Our Contryside Inn is located in Tuscany, Italy close to the picturesque medieval town of Siena.

The small village of S. Colomba is the nearest inhabited center, about 1 kilometer away. There you can find a small convenience store and a bus stop (click here for the timetable to and from Siena).

In the vicinity of La Gavina you can find several places where you can go relax in natural tuscan hot waters: Terme di Petriolo, Acqua Borra (both for free), Terme di Bagno Vignone e Rapolano (range 20 to 40 km).

Coming from Florence (on the highway):

Take exit Monteriggioni. Take SS2 direction to Siena for about 5 km (3 miles). Turn right and go straight ahead for about 6 km (4 miles) to Santa Colomba. After Santa Colomba keep left and take the dirt road for La Gavina (about 1.5 km = 1 mile).  

Coming from Rome or Grosseto (on the highway)

Follow for Florence, and take exit Acquacalda. At the first roundabout go straight ahead following the signs for Florence and Monteriggioni. At the second roundabout take SS2 and follow the signs for Monteriggioni. After about 2 km (1.2 miles) turn left and follow the signs for Santa Colomba, about 6 km away (4 miles). After Santa Colomba keep to the left and take the dirt road for La Gavina (about 1.5 km = 1 mile).
